FREMONT, Calif., Oct. 20 /PRNewswire/ -- EzValidation, Inc., a supplier of easy to use applications software and middleware for the development of authentication protocols for security and biometric systems, today announced EzPassport(TM) Enterprise Edition applications software. This enterprise-class software provides biometric security for networked PCs running Windows using AuthenTec(R) fingerprint authentication.
The EzPassport Enterprise Edition application makes it easy for IT professionals and system integrators to add biometric and security access features to Windows applications running on networked PCs. The software is easily installable from a CD.

The new EzPassport Enterprise Edition for Windows includes the following features:
-- Secure logon to Windows on a networked PC using fingerprint
authentication
-- Full functionality of EzPassport Plus software including secure Windows
application launch, file decryption using fingerprints, a password bank
for Windows and web applications as well as auto logoff and a secure
screen saver
-- Allows system administrator to set up policies for user logon, secure
application launch and file access
-- Users enroll their fingerprint once on the system. The fingerprint
template resides on the network server.
-- Users can authenticate using their fingerprints on any PC connected to
the network server; bases on policies set by the network administrator.
For example, if the network server is unavailable, a user could still
logon at their desktop using their fingerprint.

EzValidation Security Software
The EzPassport Toolkit is an SDK with the components needed to add biometric security features to Windows applications. It offers shortcuts for integrating security to any software package and includes plug-ins for fingerprint authentication, smartcard, iris, retina, voice and face recognition technologies.
EzPassport Plus is a simple, easy-to-use fingerprint authentication software application for Windows. It offers data security, secure logon, an easy to navigate GUI and hardware interface to support security and biometric device providers.
Price and Availability
The EzPassport Enterprise Edition ships in December. Pricing starts at $5,000 (USD). The application includes server-side software, five client software licenses and five fingerprint sensor peripherals. Additional client software licenses and fingerprint sensors can be purchased.
