Narus CTO Antonio Nucci Named to InfoWorld’s CTO 25 List
Narus, Inc. announced today that IDG’s InfoWorld, the leading media brand for IT solutions management, has named Narus’ CTO Dr. Antonio Nucci a winner of the 2007 CTO 25 awards. This prestigious award recognizes senior IT executives who have demonstrated leadership within their companies and the IT community. Nucci was selected by the editors of InfoWorld based on industry leadership both inside and outside of Narus.
In a release announcing the winners, Steve Fox, InfoWorld editor-in-chief said, “This year’s CTO 25 award winners are true visionaries who believe that leading-edge technology equals leading-edge business. Their constant invention and reinvention of strategic tools, coupled with an eagle eye for business opportunity, provide a blueprint for IT success.”
Nucci’s “information entropy” security algorithms are the heart of Narus’ NarusInsight Secure Suite, which provides core IP network security and traffic monitoring to Tier 1 telecom carriers and governments around the world. Narus’ customers include AT&T, Telecom Egypt, Saudi Telecom, KDDI, US Cellular, Vodafone and Korea Telecom, along with global partners such as IBM who have developed their core carrier security offerings with Narus. In his career, Nucci has published more than 30 papers, applied for 22 patents in optical and IP networking technology, filed nine strategic technology patents on behalf of Narus, and recently written what InfoWorld Contributing Editor Dan Tynan called, “the definitive textbook on managing large IP networks.”
“It is an honor to be included in such an elite group,” said Nucci. “Narus has earned a tremendous reputation among the world’s largest carriers and governments as the leader in scalable, carrier-class IP security solutions. This award is a huge achievement and a clear demonstration of the great work we are doing at Narus.”
