Bartender Shot in Robbery at Eastlake Restaurant
By Seattle Times
Jun. 6–Seattle police are investigating an early morning robbery at Serafina, a restaurant in the 2000 block of Eastlake Ave. E.
A gunman demanded money from the restaurant’s bartender around 1 a.m, said police spokesman Sean Whitcomb. A struggle ensued and the 23-year-old bartender was shot in the arm.
The gunman, who appeared to be in his 20s and was wearing a purple bandana, fled. Police were unable to locate him. It appeared that no money was taken.
Whitcomb said the robbery may be connected with the robberies of two North Seattle pizza restaurants and another in Shoreline within the last week.
“Right now it is quite possible that this robbery this morning is part of this larger pattern,” Whitcomb said.
