INTERNET giant Google has been asked to help in the worldwide search for Madeleine, her family said yesterday.

Managers at the search engine are discussing whether to replace the "double-o" in the famous Google logo with Madeleine’s distinctive eyes.

Under the plan, the familiar graphic would also feature one of the yellow ribbons that has become a feature of the campaign to find the four-year-old.

Madeleine’s uncle John McCann said he was hoping the customising could be done by June 22, which would be the 50th day since she disappeared.

The little girl was abducted from her family’s rented villa in Algarve resort of Praia da Luz on May 3.

Her parents, doctors Kate and Gerry McCann, have since kept up a ceaseless series of appeals for news of her whereabouts.
