Digital Lightwave Announces NXG Testing Platform for NextGeneration Network Testing

Digital Lightwave®, Inc. (OTCBB:DIGL), a leading provider of optical networking test equipment and technology, today announced availability of the NIC NXG and NIC Plus NXG products for testing of NextGeneration networks. NXG units are an extension of the successful NIC product line of software-based, modular products for telecom/datacom testing.
NXG products leverage the NIC NextGen Multi-Rate (NGMR) module, which supports SONET/SDH at 51Mbps, 155Mbps, 622Mbps, 2.5Gbps or 10Gbps as well as "test options" which can be enabled to provide more sophisticated testing as the need arises. These test options are currently available: OTN (OTU-1 and OTU-2), 1Gigabit Ethernet, 10Gigabit Ethernet LAN, WAN and FEC, ODU-1 to ODU-2 multiplexing and the NextGen features VCAT, LCAS and GFP. More test options are planned for future availability.

In the light and portable NIC NXG, the NGMR can be equipped as a stand-alone module or can be combined with a PDH/T-Carrier module with or without Jitter and Wander testing for a portable solution to many network test needs. With its cloth carrying case, included, the NIC NXG fits under an airline seat. The NIC Plus NXG can be equipped with any combination of NIC modules for multiple-port configurations, Jitter and Wander testing and Ethernet from 10M to 10G. The NIC Plus NXG is also available in a rack mount version.
The NIC NXG and NIC Plus NXG will be on display at NXTcomm 2007, June 19-21, McCormick Place, Chicago, IL.
