ADC Introduces Industry-Leading Optical Access Network, Fiber Management and Wireless Solutions at NXTcomm 2007

Posted on: Monday, 18 June 2007, 09:02 CDT

ADC (NASDAQ:ADCT)(www.adc.com) announced today that it will showcase its portfolio of network infrastructure products and services that enable the profitable delivery of the latest services to residential, business and mobile subscribers worldwide at NXTcomm in Chicago, June 19-21, booth #5107.

Several new products will be featured in ADC's exhibit space including the PONy (Passive Optical Network over wavelengths) Express™ 16 access transport platform, the expanded FiberGuide® and RiserGuide® product family, and the ClearGain® Ground-Mounted Amplifier. In addition, a full suite of fiber-to-the-x (FTTX) solutions, enterprise solutions for the data center, and FlexWave™ wireless solutions will be featured, as well as professional services.

PONy Express 16 Transport Platform

ADC is introducing the new PONy Express 16 transport platform to address the bottleneck that occurs in traditional optical access networks. Using DWDM, the PONy Express 16 provides cost-effective access to business parks, campuses, and multi-dwelling unit/multi-tenant units over a shared network infrastructure without sacrificing security or limiting bandwidth. Up to 16 customers can be simultaneously connected with each having up to 1Gbps of dedicated, symmetrical bandwidth. This solution, which is being integrated into other ADC products, enables service providers to address multiple markets such as Fiber-To-The-Building (FTTB) and Fiber-To-The-Curb (FTTC) with a single product.

Higher Capacity FiberGuide Management System

ADC also has expanded its industry-leading FiberGuide and RiserGuide product family with the release of its higher-capacity 24-inch FiberGuide Fiber Management System. This comprehensive FiberGuide is now available in a 24-inch by four-inch system, doubling the network capacity and flexibility of traditional 12-inch systems. FiberGuide is a fiber management system used to protect and route fiber optic patch cords, multi-fiber cable assemblies and intra-facility fiber cable to and from fiber splice enclosures, distribution frames and fiber optic terminal devices.

New ClearGain Amplifier Offering

The latest addition to ADC's ClearGain product family is the ClearGain DD1900 Ground-Mounted Amplifier (GMA) that offers inexpensive signal quality improvement without the need for tower climbs. This product's slim, modular, stackable design conserves rack space and is easy to install. These features minimize the cost of network expansion and improve the quality of service (QoS) that allow wireless operators to increase profitability from new and existing services.

Fiber Solutions Enable High Performance

ADC's OmniReach™ FTTX Infrastructure Solutions are the industry's first platforms designed from the ground up to meet the unique requirements of FTTX networks. By building high-speed networks with OmniReach fiber distribution terminals and frames, service providers accelerate deployment and maximize operational efficiency from the CO to the outside plant.

Next Gen Core Solutions

As a global provider of innovative infrastructure solutions, ADC fiber and copper connectivity products assure smooth integration of new equipment and technologies, as well as rock-solid reliability and flexibility that is so critical in the central office, mobile switching center (MSC) and Headend.
