Lebow Leaves AOL for Internet Broadcasting

AOL Media Networks executive David Lebow has been hired as president and chief executive officer of Internet Broadcasting Systems in Minnesota.
Lebow, who was executive vice president and general manager of AOL Media Networks, succeeds Reid Johnson as Internet Broadcasting's CEO. Johnson, who formed the company in 1996, will remain with IBS as founder.
The company's chairman is Steven Goldstein.
Internet Broadcasting, a privately held company with headquarters in Mendota Heights, Minn., lays claim to being the nation's largest network of TV station Web sites, allowing visitors to find local news stories of interest to them.
Goldstein calls Lebow a high-caliber, seasoned veteran who will help the company grow.
Coming from one of the premier Web portals, coupled with his extensive local media background, David has the experience to lead us in the next stage of our evolution, Goldstein said in a news release. Given his success and experience with both Internet and broadcasting, he is ideally suited to drive our growth.
