Tunisie Telecom Creates New Nationwide Broadband Network With Huawei and Redback; Broadband DSL for Consumer Access and Wholesale Needs

Redback Networks Inc. (Nasdaq:RBAK), a leading provider of next-generation broadband networking systems, and Huawei Technologies Company Ltd., a global telecom infrastructure supplier, today announced that the Tunisie Telecom is creating a nationwide broadband network to bring ADSL broadband access and services to consumers and small businesses using systems from Redback and Huawei. Redback is supplying its SMS(TM) 1800 broadband subscriber management systems. Huawei is supplying DSLAMs, a centralized network management system and DSL modems. Huawei is a global distribution partner for Redback.
