Orb Networks Announces 'No Hassle' Alternative for Instantly Sharing Personal Photos, Videos With Family and Friends Online

EMERYVILLE, Calif., June 21 /PRNewswire/ -- Orb Networks(TM) (http://www.orb.com/) announced today that its free MyCasting service now offers a "no hassle" alternative for people to share photos and home videos with family and friends online. With no file uploading, file-size limitations or special formatting required, Orb users can quickly and easily make their vacation, family or summer memories available to others on the internet. Users select the photos and videos, designate them for sharing and Orb makes them available on a webpage with the user's unique URL. Users can add as many photos and videos as they want to their public page -- there are no size limitations, lengthy uploads, or other hassles associated with most traditional online photo and video sharing sites.
"This is online social networking for the rest of us," said Herve Utheza, Vice President and General Manager for Orb Networks, who said Orb's user survey cited sharing as one of the top reasons people want to use the free service. "It's for moms, dads, grandparents, soccer coaches -- families who want to use the Internet to share vacation photos, the latest ball game or just to stay in touch. We don't want to figure out the complexities of blogs, special web formatting, or the file-size limitations of many other internet sites. We just want it to work, and with Orb it does."
Utheza went on to say that another benefit to the free service is that it doesn't require any additional hardware to work. "You are basically using all of the stuff you already own -- a PC and an internet connection -- and you are ready to get started."
