Broadcaster Partners With the Independent Film Channel to Feature Original IFC Content for Broadcaster Community

Posted on: Tuesday, 26 June 2007, 09:14 CDT

Broadcaster, Inc. (OTCBB: BCAS), the next generation video community that empowers members to become broadcasters, partnered with the Independent Film Channel (IFC) to feature the cable network's original short films, web series and television shows within Broadcaster's content channels.

IFC's original web series, Getting Away With Murder, will be the first IFC feature to run on Broadcaster. The series follows a character named Seth Silver, an ordinary 25-year-old who struggles to balance his life as a secret high-octane hit man with the fact that he still lives at home with his neurotic mother.

The partnership marks one of the first uses of Broadcaster's Powerlink technology, a traffic sharing innovation that links video content on Broadcaster back to the content owner's website. Powerlink will present users who are viewing IFC content on Broadcaster with the option of clicking a link that will send them directly to a designated page within IFC's website.

"IFC broadcasts some of the most unique and cutting edge shows today, making their content a perfect match for our audience," said Martin Wade, CEO of Broadcaster, Inc.

Kent Rees, Vice President of Marketing for IFC, added, "This partnership with Broadcaster.com represents a great opportunity for us to expand the audience for our innovative new web series Getting Away With Murder, as well as others that we plan to launch in the near future. Broadcaster's video community is the ideal target for our online content, and we hope to attract many new IFC.com fans by enabling them to link to our site."
