National Lampoon Forms Drunk University Network
National Lampoon, Inc. (AMEX:NLN), the most widely recognized brand in comedy, today announced the formation of its Drunk University Network. The Drunk University Network has been formed as a sister network to the rapidly growing National Lampoon Humor Network and follows the acquisition by National Lampoon of DrunkUniversity.com.
The Drunk University Network will provide advertisers with a highly targeted means of reaching the much sought after college demographic. The formation of the Drunk University Network will also ensure the National Lampoon Humor Network retains its core focus on smart comedy.
The Drunk University Network will consist of a number of college focused community sites. The network will launch with 15 partner sites and will add additional sites in the coming months. Initial partners include CollegeHangover.com, CollegeStories.com, NingaDude.com and DrunkUniversity.com.
“The formation of The Drunk University Network gives National Lampoon another way to connect with its core college audience,” said National Lampoon Chief Executive Officer Daniel Laikin. “As a partner to the National Lampoon Humor Network, the Drunk Network will give National Lampoon a more targeted online distribution platform while also creating another Lampoon seedbed through which we can discover up-and-coming comedic talent.”
