Google Ranks HardRadio.Com Number One Both in Heavy Metal Radio and Reviews

Posted on: Thursday, 28 June 2007, 15:03 CDT

HardRadio.com was recently ranked No. 1 both in heavy metal radio and heavy metal reviews by Google™ Directory, the largest human-edited directory on the Web. The index also ranked HardRadio News No. 11 in overall music news and media content, ahead of Virgin.net Music and Billboard Daily. Specializing in hard rock and heavy metal music, news and history, HardRadio.com pioneered Internet radio as the first dot-com, Internet-only radio station. Google's PageRank technology ranks Web sites based on page quality and content.

"We're thrilled that Google has recognized HardRadio.com as a leader in the online music world," said Tracy Barnes, founder and president of HardRadio.com. "These honors help solidify our position as the most visited, content-rich heavy metal and hard rock destination on the Internet, a prize well-earned after paving the way for online music in the mid-1990s. The Web site's various tools give metal heads and rock fans the ultimate package of online music, videos, news and sneak peaks at the hottest new bands."

Listeners connect to the trailblazing radio station through its HardRadio.com Web address, which also offers content ranging from in-depth album reviews and band interviews to release dates and upcoming events. Barnes and his team at HardRadio.com also launched HardVideo.com, a heavy metal music video Web site, and HardAxe.net, a comprehensive directory of unsigned hard rock and heavy metal bands.
