New Breast Cancer Device Could Cut Down On Surgery

A new device may be able to cut down on the number of surgeries required for breast cancer patients. Doctors say it can detect all cancerous tissue during a lumpectomy. Currently, patients must wait several weeks after their initial lumpectomy for pathology reports before undergoing additional surgeries to remove cancerous tissue.
