Dr. Rick D. deShazo, professor of medicine and pediatrics, has grandkids who, like most kids, LOVE chicken nuggets.
He wanted to know what really makes them addictively tasty. He used an unusual method not commonly used on food – staining, fixing and microscopic analysis by a pathologist.
After seeing the results of two random nuggets from two fast-food chains, he said, “I was FLOORED.”
