Doctors Making Progress Towards Healing Spinal Injuries

A study in animals may bring doctors closer to developing a treatment for future victims of spinal injury. They’re studying the properties of a compound called polyethylene glycol. The chemical is similar to your cars antifreeze. When it was applied to the damaged spinal cords of lab animals it helped the never fibers in the cord reconnect.
