Close to 20,000 Americans are waiting for a liver transplant – and some will die before they get one. A transplant is still the only hope for anyone with hepatitis C or liver cancer. That’s because developing the right drugs to treat liver disease has been a struggle for researchers. One nanotechnologist is changing that.
