NASA SDO – M5 Solar Flare, July 4, 2012
July 6, 2012
Just about 4 hours after the 1st Independence M-class solar flare, a second one erupted from Active Region 1515. This one measured M5.
Will there be more solar firework on the Sun today? Chances for a X-class flare are increasing. AR 1515 is developing a beta-gamma-delta’ magnetic field that harbors energy for the strongest of flares.
