February 25, 2011
Since its launch on 16 February, Europe’s Automated Transfer Vehicle (ATV) is being monitored by the Mission Control Centre situated in Toulouse France. Of all the space freighters serving the International Space Station, ATV is the most advanced; it is capable of fully automatic rendezvous and docking, in a series of pre-programmed phases using the vehicle’s advanced technologies.
