Nest Aims To Make Your Home Safer With ‘Smart’ Smoke Detector

Nest, the company known for the smart Nest Learning Thermostat, announced that they have developed a smart smoke detector that will be called “Protect.” Maybe not so clever, but appropriate. There’s still no release date, but the company says it will include a carbon monoxide detector, and a motion sensor so you can wave to turn it off.
