The Australian Journal of Zoology is a peer-reviewed journal first published in 1953. It is published bimonthly by CSIRO Publishing. As of May 2012, the editor-in-chief is Paul Cooper (Australian National University, Canberra).

The journal published original research and review articles on zoology, with a special focus on Australian fauna. Its scope includes: anatomy, physiology, molecular biology, genetics, reproductive biology, developmental biology, parasitology, morphology, behavior, ecology, zoogeography, systematics and evolution.
