Biometrics is a journal published by the International Biometric Society. It was originally published under the title Biometrics Bulletin when established in 1945. It dropped the Bulletin from its name in 1947. RA Fisher, a notable contributor to the journal, was honored with a memorial edition published in 1964.
The journal publishes articles on the application of statistics and mathematics to biological sciences. It has received a ranking of fifth overall of 40 statistics journals, according to statistics researchers’ opinions, and it was second only to the Journal of the American Statistical Association in the ranking provided by biometrics specialists.
