Brazilian Journal of Medical and Biological Research

The Brazilian Journal of Medical and Biological Research is a peer-reviewed scientific journal established in the 1960s as Revista Brasileira de Pesquisas Médicas e Biológicas, publishing articles in Portuguese. In 1981, after the journal was taken over by the Associação Brasileira de Divulgação Científica (ABDC), the journal was renamed to its current moniker, and is published on a monthly basis in English.

It is now published online as part of the Scientific Electronic Library project by Latin American and Caribbean Center on Health Sciences Information and Foundation for Research Support of the State of Sao Paulo.

The journal is indexed in the following databases: MEDLINE, Index Medicus, Science Citation Index, Current Contents Life Sciences, Biological Abstracts, Excerpta Medica, PsycInfo and LILACS.
