British Journal of Ophthalmology
The British Journal of Ophthalmology is a peer-reviewed medical journal established in 1917 by the Royal London Ophthalmic Hospital Reports and the Ophthalmoscope and Ophthalmic Record. As of May 2012, the editors-in-chief are Harminder Dua and Arun Singh.
This journal covers clinical investigations, clinical observations, and clinically relevant laboratory investigations related to ophthalmology. It also provides major reviews and covers regional issues. It is indexed in Index Medicus, ISI Current Contents, and Excerpta Medica.
According to its 2008 impact factor, it ranks 9 of 48 journals in the “Ophthalmology” category.
