Cephalalgia, Journal

Cephalalgia is a peer-reviewed medical journal published by SAGE Publications on behalf of the International Headache Society. The journal is subtitled ‘An International Journal of Headache’. The journal was established in 1981 and is published tri-weekly (or 16 times per year). It was previously published by Blackwell Publishing. The editor-in-chief is David W. Dodick of Mayo Clinic College of Medicine.

Cephalalgia provides an international forum for research, review and discussions on topics such as pathophysiology, pharmacology and epidemiology. The journal contains papers on all aspects of headache as well as reviews, letters and clinical correspondence on both clinical and basic research.

Cephalagia is abstracted and indexed in Scopus and the Science Citation Index. According to the Journal Citation Reports, it is ranked 28 of 185 in the category “Clinical Neurology” and 57 out of 237 in the category “Neurosciences.”
