Journal of Agricultural and Food Chemistry

The Journal of Agricultural and Food Chemistry is a peer-reviewed scientific journal established in 1950 and published by the American Chemical Society. The current editor-in-chief, James N. Seiber, has served as editor of the journal since 1999. His career has included positions in industry, government, and academia. He is an emeritus faculty member in the Department of Environmental Toxicology at the University of California, Davis.

This journal publishes cutting edge original research representing complete studies and research advances dealing with the chemistry and biochemistry of agriculture and food. It encourages papers with chemistry and/or biochemistry as a major component combined with biological/sensory/nutritional/toxicological evaluation related to agriculture and/or food.
