The Long-tailed Fiscal (Lanius cabanisi) is a species of bird found in Kenya, Somalia, and Tanzania. Its natural habitat is dry savanna. It perches in the open and is frequently seen waving its long tail from side to side excitedly. It is difficult to miss these birds as they seem to perch on every available telegraph pole and wire.
This is a noisy, obvious bird which can often be seen in small groups. It can be distinguished from the similarly long-tailed Common Fiscal by its gray (not black) back and its more robust shape.
