Neovenator, or “New Hunter”, is a genus of allosaur from the Barremian stage of the Early Cretaceous Period. It was discovered on the Isle of Wight, UK in 1978. It was almost 20 years before more bones of this genus were found. About 70% of the skeleton has been recovered. It is one of the best known large carnivorous dinosaurs in Europe. It was originally thought to be a new species of Megalosaurus.

This large carnivore was approximately 24.5 feet in length. It was a slender built dinosaur.
