Pied Paddy Skimmer, Neurothemis tullia

The pied paddy skimmer (Neurothemis tullia) is a species of dragonfly that is native to Asia. Its range includes south and southeast areas of Asia including China, India, Malaysia, Nepal, Taiwan, and Vietnam, among other areas. It prefers a habitat in rice fields, lakes, and ponds with abundant vegetation. The species is common across its range and does not seem to have any major threats, so no conservation efforts are recommended for it other than observation. The pied paddy skimmer appears on the IUCN Red List with a conservation status of “Least Concern.â€
