Serbian Hound

The Serbian Hound, which was also once known as the Balkan Hound, is a breed of Serbian pack hunting dog. It is said to have descended from Phoenician dogs.

The breed stands 17 to 21 inches tall and weighs around 44 pounds. The coat of the breed is smooth and coarse. It is red or tan with a black saddle, neck, and head. Its face, like its body, can be either red or tan. The head is flat and sloping with a pointed muzzle, and it has drop ears, as do typical scent hounds.

The breed is generally described as obedient and pleasant natured.
