Leo started RunThere to answer the question: "How far am I running?" Instead of just going out and buying a GPS device, he built this site so everyone could find the answer for free.

Over winter break in December 2004, he started work on what would eventually become RunThere.com. Though he studied mechanical engineering, his real passion is in mapping creating fun and intuitive user interfaces. Thankfully, Google Maps has made it possible for startup sites to create powerful mapping tools.
