Verizon Communications has extended its agreement with Yahoo to provide an integrated co-branded portal that will be offered as a preferred starting point for new Verizon broadband subscribers. The multi-year agreement extends Verizon's relationship with Yahoo that started in 2005.

In our area, just east of Lancaster, less than a half mile southwest of Wal-Mart, broadband Internet access is available only through Comcast. For those of us who do not watch cable TV, the cost of purchasing Internet access through Comcast is very high.
