Active Biotech has reported that its Phase II proof of concept trial in prostate cancer patients will now be initiated, and the first patients in this trial will start treatment before the end of 2007.

Israeli firm Teva and Swedish-based Active Biotech said Thursday they will launch a phase 3 trial of oral laquinimod for relapsing multiple sclerosis. The companies will begin this year conducting two phase 3 studies at centers in the United States, Europe and other sites.
