The U.S. Screen Actors Guild says its members have elected Ken Howard president and Amy Aquino secretary-treasurer. Both began serving their two-year terms Friday. Ballots were mailed to 99,485 paid-up SAG members Aug. 25, and 27,295 were tabulated Thursday for a return of 27.44 percent.
TV star Marg Helgenberger has filed for divorce from actor Alan Rosenberg, her husband of 19 years, court documents filed in Los Angeles show. Helgenberger is a cast member of the police drama series CSI.
A Los Angeles judge has denied Screen Actors Guild President Alan Rosenberg's appeal aimed at disrupting the union's contract talks with industry executives. The Hollywood Reporter said a special appeal filed as part of Rosenberg's Los Angeles Superior Court lawsuit against the union was denied Friday. Rosenberg's fellow SAG officials -- Anne-Marie Johnson, Diane Ladd and Kent McCord -- are also serving as co-plaintiffs in the appeal and related lawsuit. The SAG officials are suing their own union in an attempt to disrupt ongoing negotiations with the Alliance of Motion Picture and Television Producers.
