Dwayne Roloson stopped 43 shots and the Edmonton Oilers stifled a third-period Minnesota rally Saturday night to beat the Wild 3-2. Tom Gilbert scored the decisive goal after an assist by Liam Reddox in the second period, and Zach Stortini and Ales Hemsky also scored goals for the Oilers, who have won two of their last three games following a three-game losing streak.

Sheldon Souray scored early in the third period to break a 1-1 tie Monday night and the Edmonton Oilers held on to beat Phoenix 3-1. Ales Hemsky put the Oilers ahead 1-0 with his 18th goal, following assists by Dustin Penner and Shawn Horcoff, at 15:43 of the second.

Ales Hemsky finished off a four-goal Edmonton first period Wednesday and the Oilers went on to crush Montreal 7-2. Edmonton handed the Canadiens their seventh consecutive road loss and Montreal has four games left on its current six-game trip. Sam Gagner, Zach Stortini, Andrew Cogliano and Hemsky scored first-period goals with Hemsky's tally coming with only 26 seconds left in the frame. Mathieu Dandenault managed to score for Montreal just 10 seconds after Hemsky's goal, but that did not touch off a Canadiens comeback. Edmonton equaled its largest goal output of the season.

Dwayne Roloson took a shutout into the third period Friday and made 30 saves to help bring the Edmonton Oilers a 3-1 victory over Minnesota. The Oilers broke a three-way tie with Minnesota and Vancouver and moved into second place behind Calgary in the Northwest Division. It was Edmonton's fourth win in five games.

The weekly NHL Three Stars honors went to LA Kings wing Dustin Brown, Carolina Hurricanes goalie Cam Ward and Edmonton Oilers wing Ales Hemsky Monday. In the week ending Sunday, Brown scored game-winning goals in consecutive road wins over Minnesota and Colorado, helping push Los Angeles within six points of the Western Conference's final playoff seed.
