Phil Kessel scored twice in the third period Thursday night when the Boston Bruins beat the Ottawa Senators 5-3 to break a two-game skid. Kessel's second goal of the night, his 29th of the season, was an empty net with under a minute left. P.J. Axelsson had one goal and one assist.

Milan Michalek and Patrick Marleau scored power-play goals in the second period Thursday night, rallying the San Jose Sharks to a 2-1 win over Ottawa. The Sharks won for the fifth time in six games.

Wojtek Wolski chased his own rebound and snapped a shot past Alex Auld 1:20 into overtime Tuesday, handing Colorado a 3-2 win over Ottawa. Auld had stopped Wolski's initial shot, a slap shot from just inside the blue line.
