Mark Kotsay's two-run homer in the second inning ignited a 20-hit assault Friday that sent the Chicago White Sox coasting past Boston 12-2. Kotsay and Alexei Ramirez each had three RBI in Ozzie Guillen's 500th game as manager of the White Sox. The one-sided loss left Boston with just a two-game lead over Texas in the American League wild-card race. Chicago scored five times in both the third and fourth innings.

Chicago White Sox southpaw Mark Buehrle threw a perfect game Thursday, leading the Chicago White Sox to a 5-0 win over Tampa Bay. It was the 18th perfect game in Major League history and first by a White Sox pitcher since Charles Robertson on Aug.

Alexei Ramirez and Josh Fields combined for six of Chicago's 17 hits Friday and the White Sox used a six-run sixth inning to overwhelm Kansas City 11-2. Ramirez and Fields both had three hits and two RBI while Clayton Richard worked seven solid innings.
