A Southern California peace activist has been released from an Iranian prison four months after being arrested, a report said Tuesday.

TEHRAN, Iran - Iran has released Iranian-American peace activist Ali Shakeri after he spent four months in a Tehran prison, a judiciary spokesman said Tuesday. He is the fourth U.S. citizen to be released by Iran since August after being accused of trying to stir up a revolution.

A Radio Free Europe correspondent was allowed to leave Iran Tuesday despite charges of conspiring against the government. Parnaz Azima, a dual national of Iran and the United States, was en route to the United States after being detained Jan. 25 during a visit to her hospitalized mother in Tehran.
