Principal photography has begun in Puerto Rico on the big-screen adaptation of Hunter S.

Amber Heard is in talks to play the female lead in a movie based on Hunter S. Thompson's Puerto Rico-set novel, Rum Diary, The Hollywood Reporter said. Heard recently co-starred in the big-screen comedy Pineapple Express.
