By Suzette Parmley, The Philadelphia Inquirer Apr. 4--Las Vegas-based Ameristar Casinos Inc. offered about $1.5 billion in cash yesterday to acquire Aztar Corp., topping previous offers from Pinnacle Entertainment Inc. and Colony Capital L.L.C.
