Excerpt from report by Interfax-Ukraine news agency Kiev, 21 October: Ukraine and Bosnia-Hercegovina have signed a memorandum of understanding between the defence ministers and on cooperation in the military area, Ukrainian Defence Minister Anatoliy Hrytsenko said.

Missile Forces and Artillery Warfare Research Centre of Bohdan Khmelnitsky Military Institute of Missile Forces and Artillery in Sumy State University has been reorganized, the UNIAN news agency reported on 8 October at 0842 gmt.

Ukraine is in secret talks to buy American F-16 fighters, a daily linked to the pro-Russian Party of Regions has alleged. It quoted diplomatic sources to this effect. Defence Minister Anatoliy Hrytsenko is reportedly in favour of buying the F-16 to replace Russian fighters.
