Two 3-pointers by J.J. Redick keyed an early run Thursday and the Orlando Magic coasted into the second round of the playoffs by blasting Philadelphia 114-89. Orlando eliminated Philadelphia in six games and will next meet the survivor of the riveting series between Chicago and Boston.

Dwight Howard had 24 points and 24 rebounds Tuesday, pacing Orlando to a 91-78 win over Philadelphia and a 3-2 lead in their Eastern quarterfinals. Rashard Lewis also scored 24 and Rafer Alston added 14 for the Magic. Andre Iguodala scored 26 points for the 76ers.

A layup by Thaddeus Young with 2.2 seconds remaining Friday gave the Philadelphia 76ers a 96-94 win over Orlando and a one-game lead in their playoff series. For the second time in the series, Philadelphia came up with a game-winning shot in the closing moments.
