The massive, nationwide cancellation of more than 900 flights by American Airlines today while mechanics check wiring on MD-80 aircraft, has affected some Bay Area airports more than others.
By Art Marroquin American Airlines canceled eight more domestic flights at Los Angeles International Airport on Thursday as mechanics continued to look for signs of faulty wiring on Boeing MD-80 jetliners, according to airline officials.
