HARTFORD, Conn., March 2 /PRNewswire/ -- Travelers Championship officials today announced six powerful early commitments to this year's tournament.
Tiger Woods had an even-par 70 Saturday and dropped back into a tie with Anthony Kim after three rounds of the PGA's AT&T National in Maryland. Kim, the defending champion, shot a 2-under 68 to join Woods at 10-under 200.
Anthony Kim, winless since he captured this event a year ago, fired a course-record 8-under 62 Thursday for a two-shot lead at the AT&T National. Kim was one of the hottest golfers in the world for much of 2008, claiming two victories during the year, starring in the American Ryder Cup triumph and finishing among the top three in five other tournaments. He had had limited success this year, however, until finishing among the top 20 the past two weeks at the U.S.
Anthony Kim shot a 5-under 67 Saturday and took the third-round lead at the World Challenge after Jim Furyk double-bogeyed the 18th hole. Kim, closing out a season that included two wins and an appearance in the Ryder Cup, will carry a one-shot advantage over Furyk into the final round after posting
