Shin-Soo Choo and Grady Sizemore touched off a 13-hit attack with early solo homers Saturday as Cleveland halted a three-game skid by downing Minnesota 7-3. Minnesota was unable to build on a two-hit shutout thrown by Scott Baker Friday.

Alex Rodriguez singled in the deciding run Wednesday and the New York Yankees held on to down Minnesota 4-3 for A.J. Burnett's third straight win. The Yankees have defeated the Twins in all of their six meetings this season. Burnett (8-4) gave up two runs on seven hits over 6 1/3 innings.

The Minnesota Twins have placed 10-game winner Kevin Slowey on the 15-day disabled list with a strained right wrist. Slowey (10-3) left his start Friday against Detroit after just three innings because of the injury.
