Nine Wisconsin high school seniors barred from walking in their graduation for using sidewalk chalk outside the school say the punishment doesn't fit the crime. James Clark, one of the seniors suspended from Hartland's Arrowhead High School, said he and his co-conspirators used chalk to write Class of 09 and other small messages and designs on the school Thursday night, WISN-TV in Milwaukee reported Monday. In some ways I thought it was a pretty lame prank, you know, it looked more like a decoration, Clark said.
By ERIN RICHARDS Town of Merton -- Arrowhead High School's theater program received a national award Thursday for its performance last year of "Cats." USA Weekend Magazine, which highlights the program in today's edition, named the production the best high school musical in the country.
DELAFIELD The Lake Country Women's Club donated $1,500 to the LifeStriders Therapeutic Riding Center in the Town of Delafield. The Women's Club will sponsor the care of a horse for one year. The club also has donated $500 to Three Pillars in Dousman.
