D-Link, the end-to-end networking solutions provider for consumer and business, today announced a free upgrade for its best-selling network attached storage (NAS) device to enable BitTorrent file downloads and uploads independent of a PC.

BitTorrent, the global standard technology for the delivery of rich media on the Internet, and streaming media leader Orb Networks announced a partnership to enable BitTorrent downloads to be enjoyed on any connected device.

By The Associated Press PHILADELPHIA (AP) - Comcast Corp., an Internet service provider under investigation for hampering online file-sharing by its subscribers, announced Thursday an about-face in its stance and said it will treat all types of Internet traffic equally.

Comcast, a provider of communications products and services, and BitTorrent, a provider of content delivery platform, have announced that they will undertake a collaborative effort with one another and with the internet and ISP community to more effectively address issues associated with rich media content and network capacity management.
