Indian state-owned telecom operator BSNL has extended its contract with UTStarcom to build the second phase of a countrywide multiplay network launched in December 2007.
Motorola has won a $90m contract from India's largest telecoms service provider BSNL to provide network equipment and support services for the carrier's expansion of its GSM network in southern India. BSNL plans to add 33.5 million mobile lines by the end of March 2009.
