The Detroit Pistons have agreed to terms with guard Ben Gordon and forward Charlie Villanueva, the Detroit Free Press reported Wednesday. The newspaper said that although the deals cannot be made official until July 8, they have both agreed to five-year contracts.

The NBA announced Wednesday that Chicago point guard Derrick Rose had been voted the league's rookie of the year. Rose was drafted first overall last year out of the University of Memphis after having played only one season of college basketball. He averaged 16.8 points per contest and missed just one game all season.

Ben Gordon scored with 14.6 seconds left and Derrick Rose had 11 of his 24 points in the fourth quarter Monday to help the Chicago Bulls beat Detroit 91-88. Gordon had 19 points and Rose eight assists to enable Chicago to climb into sixth place in the NBA East, a half-game ahead of Philadelphia.

Ben Gordon scored nine points in a dominating fourth quarter Friday night, carrying the Chicago Bulls to a 117-102 victory over Milwaukee. The Bulls led by only one a minute deep into the final period, and then closed the game with a 30-16 surge.
