HEALTH Secretary Nicola Sturgeon yesterday announced L2.5m for centres that help people in deprived areas adopt a healthier lifestyle. Campaigners fear, however, that the money will not be enough to save some of the healthy living centres from closure.

A scheme to improve walking and cycling routes in Wales yesterday won pounds 50m of lottery funding. The Connect2 project was backed by massive public support, and the Big Lottery Fund money will be spent on 10 new routes around Wales.
