TRAFFIC ground to a halt in Birmingham city centre this afternoon following two minor incidents in a tunnel. A broken-down van and an accident in the Queensway Tunnel at Holloway Head this morning resulted in long tailbacks.

COMMUTERS are bracing themselves for 16 weeks of chaos from tomorrow when roadworks resume on one of the main junctions in Birmingham city centre.
